Juoni

Narcos kertoo kolumbialaisen kokaiinikuninkaan Pablo Escobarin tarinan häntä jahdanneiden lainvalvojien näkökulmasta. Sarja kertoo paitsi itsensä Pablo Escobarin valtakunnan noususta, tuhosta ja kaikesta siltä väliltä aina 80-luvun lopulle, myös muun kolumbialaisen huumerikollisuuden toiminnasta ja niin sanotun Medellin-kartellin vaiheista vuosien varrella, ja siitä miten kokaiini päätyi ensin Perusta Kolumbiaan ja sieltä Yhdysvaltojen Miamiin. Escobar tuli uskomattoman rikkaaksi ja vaikutusvaltaiseksi, esiintyen julkisuudessa usein alueensa Robin Hood -hahmona, hyväntekijänä. Samaan aikaan tappaen korkeitakin virkamiehiä, jotka nousivat häntä vastaan.
