Juoni

Sarja alkaa vuosi The Good Wifen päätösepisodin tapahtumien jälkeen. Valtava finanssihuijaus on tuhonnut nuoren asianajajan Maia Rindellin maineen ja vienyt hänen kummitätinsä ja mentorinsa Diane Lockhartin säästöt. Rindell ja Lockhart joutuvat jättämään Lockhart ja Lee -asianajotoimiston. Uusi paikka löytyy yhdestä Chicagon kuuluisimmista firmoista.
