Juoni

Mitä tapahtuu, kun kolme miestä saa kämppiksekseen suloisen mutta jokseenkin omituisen tytön? Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) on nuori, iloinen opettaja, joka menee eteenpäin elämässä aina laulaen. Elämä muuttuu täysin, kun hänen poikaystävänsä jää kiinni rysän päältä. Eron seurauksena Jess etsii uuden kodin, joka löytyy kolmen miehen kimppakämpästä. Nick (Jake M. Johnson) on elämäänsä tympiintynyt oikiksen kesken jättänyt baarimikko. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) on itsevarma bisnesmies, joka uskoo olevansa Jumalan lahja naisille.
