Juoni

Jännittävä sairaaladraama, joka sijoittuu Amerikan kiireisimmälle ja kuuluisimmalle teho-osastolle, jossa taitavien lääkärien ja hoitajien käytettävissä olevat rajalliset resurssit eivät aina riitä vastaamaan potilaiden tulvaan – näin syntyy tilanne, joka tunnetaan nimellä Musta koodi. Teho-osaston hallitun kaaoksen keskellä erikoistuvista lääkäreistä vastaava tri Leanne Rorish, joka tunnetaan onnistuneista korkean riskin toimenpiteistään, johtaa traumayksikköä, joka on varattu kriittisimmille tapauksille.
